![]() Of course you need a DC in every district you want to bring resources away from. If you need a resource, you can set up a small district to only gather that resource. ![]() So that means you don't need 8 beavers employed there unless you have 10 routes and need the resources quickly. Of course, you can just set the ones in the new district, but I'd do both once you start making more districts.ġ or 2 beavers can cover a few routes to the same district. You'll need to set the limits for both districts, otherwise you may find you're not getting enough food or a resource you need because it limits it to 100 by default. But you don't want your colony to not get certain resources because you aren't building anything with planks and your only DOP unable to receive food to keep the district alive. You do not want to have your distribution beavers delivering your last drop of water in the dry season to a colony you've started, killing your main colony. I can't fit more carrots in if that is the case, it also lets any other drop off to that DOP be delivered. If I have a large warehouse for only carrots, then 1000 is the max. If it's not, like carrots or grilled potatoes, I will set it to my maximum stockpile capability. If it's getting fed into something to make another resource, it's infinity. For high values, it depends on the resource. If I can store 1000 water, I'm setting the low value for 600 water. Usually my low is 60% of my total stockpile capability of that resource. Before you start sending resources, adjust these values. When you click on the DOP or DC, it will have a red distribution limits option. Build them closer to your original district if you can, but after the district gate. Otherwise you'll be migrating beavers back and forth to get them food, or trying to get them self supporting, and maybe you don't need that.ĭrop off points only hold 300 resources. ![]() Unlock both the distribution center (DC) and drop off point (DOP) before you start a new district that is far off. I haven't played with them a ton, but I do have some tips for them. Some people seem a little confused about distribution centers and drop off points. ![]()
